About Artist Tessa Koller

Born and raised in the Chicago area, Tessa Koller has been a dedicated artist since she learned how to hold a pencil. At a young age, she could draw and paint likeness of portraits with precision and intricacy. In 2008, she earned her Bachelor’s in Fine Arts from the Milwaukee Institute of Art and Design. But her career as an artist began long before college—having exhibited her paintings and drawings at restaurants, cafes, bookstores, and galleries throughout the course of her life. By 2010, she was displaying during gallery nights in Milwaukee and Chicago and in several European countries.

Her passion for art expanded from drawing and painting to sewing and designing women’s clothing. With a focus on shapes that complement a woman’s physique, she produces structural dresses and garments which have garnered the likes from numerous public figures on social media. She began showcasing her clothing in runway shows, first in Milwaukee, and then later found herself traveling with organizations nationally and internationally. Collaborations with these organizations led to her travels through Canada, all throughout Ireland and more than ten cities in Northern Italy. Her career as a public motivational speaker began and her speeches were translated in several different languages.

Today, Koller is still exhibiting her paintings and drawings not just locally, also internationally. Additionally, she’s in the process of combining her passions in painting and fashion by turning her paintings into prints: wearable art. Since the Covid-19 pandemic struck the states, Koller is now in the process of planning to teach art as well as reopen her bridal alterations business all virtually.
